Editorial notes.

Words and pictures

The journal brings together photographs from the Idlewind Acres collection and writing about gardens, horses, home, and style. Some journal pages are works in progress and are marked accordingly.

Photographs show a particular moment. Captions identify the subject without treating an older image as a current report from the farm.

When a subject needs more

A personal observation and a practical guide do different jobs. Our farm stories describe personal experiences. Conditions and circumstances vary; a personal account is not a substitute for advice appropriate to your own situation.

Commercial relationships

This edition contains no sponsored articles, affiliate links, or active store. If a future piece involves a commercial relationship, the relevant disclosure will belong with that piece.

We will update these notes as our journal and shop develop.
